360 degrees of Pyrite crystals! This gorgeous mineral specimen of lustrous Pyrite comes from the Huanzala Mine, in Bolognesi Province, Ancash, Peru. Pyrite is an iron sulfide mineral that has an isometric crystal structure. This means Pyrite can form into shapes like cubes, octahedrons, or in this case, a pyritohedron crystal structure, which is similar to a dodecahedron with pyritohedral symmetry.
What makes this specimen so extraordinary is the presence of crystals in a 360-degree rotation. You will find every inch of this specimen covered with Pyrite crystals!
