Native Copper "frog" from Michigan
Native Copper Mineral Specimen
Native Copper Specimen from Michigan

Native Copper

$68.00

A fun Native Copper "frog" specimen found in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. This specimen features a mass of copper perched atop host rock reminiscent of a frog sitting on a lily pad. Copper found in this region is mined in its natural state as "native copper" or as "float" copper which was moved and tumbled by glacial activities thousands of years ago. Copper is one of the few elements on our periodic table to crystallize in its native form. This beautiful, bright and shiny natural specimen is a perfect example!

Approx. 3.75" H x 2" W x 1.25" Deep

Need a display stand?

If you would like a clear acrylic stand to display your specimen vertically with a slight tilt forward, we recommend adding Stand A1 to your cart.
