A true geologic rarity, this incredible crystal specimen of pink raspberry Calcite with Mesolite comes from Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh, India. What makes this specimen so unique is both the color of the Calcite and the Mesolite crystal inclusions which can be seen both on the interior and exterior of the specimen. These crystals were mined from a very limited discovery in late 2023.
Sometimes referred to as "Indian Rhodo" in allusion to it's color similarity to Rhodochrosite, or raspberry Calcite, the color is truly spectacular with highly saturated pinks and reds, contrasted with bright white Mesolite crystal starbursts. The very top of the Calcite crystal has a small cluster of fine Mesolite crystals, with the larger crystal clusters found along the base and sides. Internal rainbows can be seen throughout this specimen which has plenty of character both along the front, back, and sides.
Approx: 3.25" L x 3" W x 2" D
