A dark and dreamy Quartz and Chalcedony Geode Pair from Dugway, Utah. This large Geode pair has crystal pockets that look like sparkling cloud formations. The centers of the crystal pockets are filled with glittering drusy Quartz crystals, with dark gray and bluish bands of Chalcedony perfectly lining the rims.
Dugway Geodes as they are sometimes referred to, come from ancient volcanic deposits found in western Utah near the town of Dugway. The layered bands are formed from Chalcedony and Agate, with the center of the Geodes filled with Quartz crystals. The crystals formed in a Rhyolite rock matrix. The Geode has been cut down the center to produce two halves which will be included with your order. The front of each piece has been cut and polished to a high gloss finish, while the sides and exterior have been left in the stones natural state.
Each Side of the Geode is Approx. 5.5" W x 4.25" H x 2.75" Deep
